HAZEL IS AN EXCEPTION TO THE MINIATURE POODLE RULE.
Hazel is easy going, calm, polite, mellow girl; she is our comfort poodle. Politely asking to be picked up or simply curling up right next to you on the couch. She is always near, as a stealthy shadow. She doesn’t ever try to challenge or suggest her own solution regarding her interaction with humans. She is happy to follow her people, fully trusting us to lead. I often “lose her,” and I must remind myself to look right behind myself. She is always there, following me as I search for her.

Hazel also has another side when it comes to her interactions with dogs. She is self-assured and, in her calm and quiet way, will remind other dogs where they stand if they are disrespectful.
She is also a self-appointed yard guardian. She is quiet in the house, but as soon as she goes outside, she sees it as her duty to monitor the fence line and let her presence be known.
Hazel's background is simple. You will not find refined champions in her pedigree. However, she has a lot to offer to the breed. Hazel is one of the few CDDY/IVDD clear dogs. She is clear in all poodle-related genetics. She is balanced in her build and temperament. She has a deep chest with a beautiful spring of ribs, a fore chest lost in many poodles, a strong neck, a strong level top line, a correct high tail set, and tight, elegant feet.
